Join us on our Wednesday evening Paddling Tours!

For the second year, beginning on Wednesday May 8, 2013, the Friends of NCTC will host its weekly, interpretive kayak paddle on the Potomac River! This biologist-led tour, leaving directly from the NCTC boat ramp, will help you to identify local flora and fauna by the river. Protection and restoration of our local watershed will be discussed as you learn more about the human impacts on our local river environment. Kids under 14 are FREE! Minimum age is 10 years old.

A conservation success story

Visible from many locations around the NCTC campus is an active eagle's nest. The eagles should return to the nest annually in the winter for many years to raise their fledglings and we are so pleased to be able to share with you a live cam of the nest.
