What we do

We actively support the mission of the National Conservation Training Center by supporting their community outreach programs and extending the reach of this world-class facility.

Some of the programs we support include:

  • Administration of scholarship program to provide training for refuge volunteers and Friends group members
  • Fundraising
  • American Conservation Film Festival
  • Fallen Comrades Memorial-brick fund
  • Wednesday Evenings with Friends: Chat and Film Series
  • “Member-only” tours of the NCTC museum archives
  • 6th grade Science Olympiad
  • Habitat restoration and reforestation
  • Member docents for paddling tours
  • Member docents for Duck Stamp Art Contest
