Lecture at NCTC, Wednesday, February 12th, at NCTC: Dr. Barbara Natterson-Horowitz's Speaking About Her Book, “Wildhood”

National Conservation Training Center Lecture. The Friends of NCTC is sponsoring a lecture by best-selling author Dr. Barbara Natterson-Horowitz on Wednesday February 12th from 7-8 PM, in the Byrd Auditorium at NCTC, 698 Conservation Way, Shepherdstown 25443. Dr Natterson-Horowitz , a visiting professor at Harvard, will speak about her new book “Wildhood”. This book explores the similarities of navigating the challenges of adolescence among species, including people. As a physician, in her role as a cardiologist treating primates at the San Diego Zoo, she noticed that often there are more similarities across species than there are differences. This has led her to research the ways our shared DNA affects our lives. She is a dynamic speaker and this lecture will be interesting to listeners interested in wildlife and people.
