The first egg of the 2021 nesting season for the NCTC bald eagle pair was laid at 2:42 pm on February 11.
This is about 6 days earlier than the first egg for 2020. We may see another egg coming in the next couple of days.
Both adults will now incubate the egg/s for the next 35-38 days, until hatching in mid-March. Look for the female to use her beak and roll the egg every hour, or so, to ensure even heating of the egg.
